Gamification - Mobile App View

The Gamification feature in the mobile app is designed to transform your event experience into an exciting journey!
By rewarding your participation and encouraging exploration, you'll earn points, level up, badges and unlock awesome rewards as you interact with the event.
This article will guide you through how to access and navigate the gamification area, easily track your progress, and engage with challenges directly from within the mobile app.

 

Accessing the Contest

From the app's home page, simply tap the Menu icon on the top left to open the event navigation. Then, under the Explore section, select Contest.
This will bring you right into the gamification area, where you can discover exciting challenges, view the leaderboard, and explore available rewards!

 

Registering for Gamification

If this is your first time accessing the Contest, you'll be given the option to join the game! Simply tap the "Enter Contest" button at the bottom of the screen.
Once you enter the contest, you'll see a friendly welcome message, and just like that, you're in and ready to play!

 

Exploring Challenges

Once you're registered, under the Challenges section, you will see all the exciting ways you can earn points and progress in the game: Progress Tracker: At the top, you'll see a handy indicator showing you how many challenges you've completed out of the total available. Remaining Challenges: This list displays the challenges you still need to complete. Tapping on a challenge might prompt you to perform a specific action or take you directly to a session linked to that challenge. Activities: This section outlines the different types of activities you can complete throughout the game and shows the individual points awarded for each one. Completed Challenges: Here, you'll find a list of all the challenges you've successfully finished, including a brief description of each challenge and the points you've earned from it.

 

 

Completing Challenges, Earning Points, and Badges

By attending sessions, scanning badges, connecting with peers, and completing other activities, you actively contribute toward finishing challenges.
Depending on the specific game rules, each individual activity can reward you with points, help you complete challenges, or even both!

These points will propel you up through different levels, and both levels and completed challenges are key to unlocking exciting badges and rewards as you advance in the game.
Completing different challenges will earn you unique badges, which serve as special recognitions for your achievements when you complete key objectives.

 

Viewing the Leaderboard

The Leaderboard gives you a fantastic overview of your progress in the game. Here's what you'll find in this section: Your Total Points: See the grand total of all the points you've accumulated in the game. Points Progress Bar: A dynamic bar visually representing your journey through each level of the game. Badges Earned: A clear display of all the unique badges you've unlocked through your achievements. Top Awardees: Discover who's leading the game, showcasing their points and badges, which can inspire your own progress!

Notifications and Progress

When you successfully complete a challenge, you'll receive an instant pop-up message!
This message will notify you of the challenge name you've completed and how many points you've earned.
For instance, you might see:

• “You earned X points for completing Challenge Name.”
• “You reached Level Name by earning 400 points.”

These notifications will automatically update your Progress Tracker in the Challenges section, so you can instantly see your advancement!

 

 

Tapping on these notifications will seamlessly return you to the Contest page, where you can easily review your completed and pending challenges along with the overall contest overview. Whenever you earn a new Badge, a delightful pop-up will also appear! This will give you the option to "View Progress", which will take you directly to the Leaderboard section of the game to celebrate your new achievement.

 

 

Rewards

Rewards are what convert your earned game elements into exciting tangible or digital incentives! Once you've successfully completed the requirements for a certain reward, a pop-up will appear with all the details on your newly earned prize. This pop-up will contain more information on the reward itself and any conditions for claiming it.

For more information on the specific rewards available, we highly recommend asking the event's staff. Rewards can vary greatly from event to event, or even from game to game, especially if the event has multiple gamification contests planned for its attendees.
