Event's Activity Feed

Event's Activity Feed

The Activity Feed brings a social, community-driven space directly to the main page of your event. It serves as a central hub where attendees can post updates, share thoughts, and interact with each other in real time, making the event more dynamic and engaging.

Admin Setup and Management

Admins can enable and configure the Activity Feed from the Conference section of the event settings, following these steps:
  1. Scroll down to the Chat area, where you will see toggles for: Public Chat (available per session), Backstage Chat (for speakers), and the Activity Feed.

  2. Enable the toggle for the Activity Feed, then scroll to the bottom and click Save to confirm your changes.

Once activated, you can access the Activity Feed option under the Operations section in the left navigation panel.

Clicking this option opens a chat-style page where you can view all messages posted to the feed, including your own. As an admin user, you have the same interaction tools as attendees, including the ability to add reactions, which ensures the space remains equally collaborative for organizers and participants. From this area, you can also type new messages and attach files to share with the attendees.

Attachments can be added by clicking the + button next to the send field. A pop-up allows you to drag and drop files, select a file from your device, or capture media directly from your camera. You can also use previously uploaded files to keep late-joining attendees informed.

Notes Accepted file types include: Images (jpg, jpeg, png, svg), Animations (gif), Videos (mov, avi, mp4, mkv, 3gp, wmv, flv), Audios (mp3, wav, m4a), Microsoft Word (doc, docx, rtf), Microsoft Excel (xls, xlsx), PDF (pdf), Presentations (ppt, pptx), Text Files (txt, text), Template-Script (html, hbs, handlebars)

To exit the Activity Feed, click the X button in the top-right corner of the page.

Posting and Visibility

Attendees can write and share a public message visible to all event participants. These messages appear in the feed for everyone, creating an open conversation space similar to a discussion board.

Reactions and Engagement

Other attendees can respond to posts by adding reactions, giving participants quick and expressive ways to engage with messages shared in the feed.

Networking and Private Chat

From any message in the feed, attendees can view the author’s profile and decide to connect. Once connected, they can move from public conversations into private one-on-one chats, helping turn community discussions into meaningful networking opportunities.

Why It Matters

The Activity Feed makes your event more interactive and collaborative. It encourages attendees to contribute to the conversation, discover new people, and build stronger connections, all from the central event page.
