Event Push Notifications

Event Push Notifications

Within your event, it is possible to send push notifications to attendees. You can choose to send them to all attendees or target specific groups. Notifications can be scheduled for later or sent immediately.

  1. From Home go to the Events page and select the event for which you want to send push notifications.

  2. On the left-hand side, under the Operation section, click on the Attendees tab.

  3. At the top of the Attendees page, click Push Notification.

  4. You’ll see a table listing previously sent and configured notifications, including details like Title, Content, Sent By, Sent Date, Schedule Date, and Actions.

  5. At the bottom, click New Notification. A pop-up window will appear with the following fields:

    • Title (optional)
    • Message (required)
    • Audience (required):
      • All Attendees
      • Attendees Enrolled in a Session (select the session in the dropdown below)

      • Attendees with a Specific Profile Field (select the field name and criteria in the dropdown below)

  6. Schedule or Send Now:

    • Schedule Date and Time: Choose a future time and click Send Later.
    • Send Now: Click to deliver immediately.

  7. You’ll receive a message confirming the notification has been sent or scheduled.

Notifications as an Attendee

Attendees see push notifications on their devices in several contexts; understanding how these messages appear can help organizers anticipate attendee experience.

Locked Screen Alert: When a notification arrives, it appears on the device’s lock screen, showing the title and preview of the message.

App Notification Center: Unread notifications collect in the app notification center; attendees can tap on them to see the full message sent.

After tapping the notification, the message opens in-app, displaying the full title and content.
