What is a strong password?
A strong password is designed to be difficult for others—whether individuals or automated systems—to guess. Its primary purpose is to protect access to private information and ensure only authorized users can log in.
Unfortunately, many users create passwords that are easy to remember but also easy to guess. Common examples include names, birthdays, phone numbers, or even the word "password"—which, for years, was the most frequently used password.
Even with modern password policies that require the use of numbers, simple combinations like "password1" are still widely used and highly insecure.
The best defense against unauthorized access, identity theft, or data breaches is to create long, complex passwords that avoid predictable patterns.
