User Profile Fields

User Profile Fields

User profile fields define what information Slayte collects for every user on the platform. Admins add custom fields beyond the defaults, set them as required or optional, and control the order they appear on every user's profile.

Default profile fields

Every Slayte platform includes these fields by default. They appear on every user's profile and cannot be removed.

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Profile Image

Add a custom field

  1. Click nav-admin Admin in the left navigation.
  2. Go to Users and click User Profile.
  3. Click plus Add Field.
  4. Enter a field label and select a field type.
  5. Set whether the field is required or optional.
  6. Click Save.

The field appears on every user's profile immediately. Existing users will see the new field the next time they edit their profile.

Edit or reorder fields

Click edit next to a field to change its label, type, or required setting. Drag and drop fields to reorder them. The order here controls the order they appear on the profile form.

Remove a field

Click trash next to the field and confirm the deletion. Removing a field deletes all data stored in that field for every user on the platform.

Warning
Removing a custom field permanently deletes all stored data for that field across all user accounts. Export user data before removing any field you may need again.

Impexium server fields

If your platform uses the Impexium integration, additional server fields appear in the profile configuration. These fields pull data from Impexium when a user logs in. They are read-only in Slayte and update automatically on each login. See the Impexium integration article for details on which fields are available.
