Release Notes 12/20/2024

New Features:

Multi-Transaction Refunds to Payment Processor

Admins can now process refunds directly to credit cards for multiple transactions, even if an invoice was partially refunded before.

Prevents creation of unnecessary $0 transactions and provides a clearer refund flow.

Optional Invoice Emails When Admin Pays

When an admin pays an invoice on someone’s behalf, they can choose whether or not to send an email invoice.

Works across various gateways (Stripe, Check, “Bill Me,” etc.).

Added a search box in registrations where sessions must be selected, making it easier to find the correct session quickly.

Edit User Email If No CRM Linked

Realms not connected to an external CRM can now allow users (or admins) to update the user’s email address.

Event Registration Admin Billing Optional

For $0 registrations, admins can skip billing details when registering multiple people at once.

Coupon-based discounts also reduce the need for billing info if the final total is $0.

Hide Discount Codes for Non-Admins

Once a discount code is applied, only the first 5 characters are visible to regular users in orders, invoices, and emails.

Admins can still see and manage the full code. Exports continue to show the complete code for reporting.

Fixes and Improvements:

Novi User Profile Fields in Book Export: Admins exporting session speaker info now see server fields (including Impexium fields) instead of only local fields.

Order Discount Code & Invoice Errors: Resolved mismatches when applying discount codes, preventing invoice creation failures.

Registrant Removal & Editing: Removed the “Delete Registration” option for attendees if it wasn’t fully supported. Hid the “Edit Registration” button when editing isn’t allowed, preventing confusion.

Event Registration Admin Editing: Corrected various admin-level issues so admins can now edit registrations without errors.

Add Registration Status & Billing Street: Registration exports now include a “status” column and billing address street data, offering more complete details.

Invoice Payment Gateway Selection: Fixed scenarios where users couldn’t pay an invoice if the wallet covered part of the balance or no default gateway was selected.

Event Registration UX: Added better validation (e.g., not allowing only spaces in fields), improved mobile responsiveness, and streamlined screens.

Submission Review Visibility: Honors the setting that hides or shows review criteria to authors, fixing unintended feedback exposure.

Add Ticket Type & Discounts in Registration Exports: Registration reports now include the ticket type (e.g., Hybrid, Virtual) and any applied discounts for each attendee.

Registration Display & Owner Email/Name: Shows the owner’s email and name correctly on the registration record. Prevents invalid sessions from staying in a cart if the registrant type changes.

Order/Invoice Back Navigation: Ensures users are taken back to the right page instead of being stuck or forced to reload.
