Email Templates allow you to customize the content of notifications sent by the platform.
These can include confirmation messages for submitters or assignment notices for reviewers.
Auto-generated Emails
Certain triggers in the platform can be configured to notify a user automatically.
Currently, the following triggers are supported (details below):
How to Create a New Email Template

From the home page, select the Emails tile (or use the left panel).

Click CREATE NEW TEMPLATE.

Type in the title of the email in the Template Name field (Save as).

In the Event Type section, expand the dropdown to choose a trigger.

Fill in the Subject line and the body content.
Engage with your users!

Select SAVE.
Placeholders
Slayte uses a special type of selector known as a “placeholder.” It resembles a CSS class,
but starts with @
and won’t appear in the final CSS if not extended.
Submission Triggers

Submission Received – A confirmation email is sent to the submitter when
their submission is received.
Available placeholders:

Submission Withdrawn – If withdrawal is allowed, a confirmation email is
sent to the submitter upon withdrawal.

Review Triggers

Submission Assigned to Reviewer – An email is sent to all assigned reviewers
with a quick link to the submission.

Review Received – After completing a review, the reviewer receives a confirmation
email.

Submission Revised (Notify Review) – After the review is confirmed accepted,
you can notify the reviewer.

Note: When creating or modifying a call, platform administrators can
configure which template to use for each trigger type. These settings can also be configured on
the respective Submission or Review phase for single-use triggers.

As an administrator, you can also email submitters or reviewers at any time from the
“Submissions” or “Reviewers” tabs:
