Assign Speaker to Session

Assign Speaker to Session

In Slayte, you can assign speakers to specific sessions so that attendees know who is presenting and what role each speaker has. Speakers can also be granted permission to edit their own sessions if needed. Follow the steps below to add and configure speakers for a session.

Assigning Speakers to a Session

  1. From the event dashboard, navigate to Sessions.

  2. Click on the desired session to open the Session Detail view.
  3. Scroll down to the Speakers section.
  4. Click the Search people dropdown menu and begin typing the individual’s name.
Once the correct person appears, select their name.

  5. Select the speaker’s role from the predefined list (for example, Presenter, Moderator, Panelist).

  6. Optional but recommended: check the box to allow the speaker to modify the session. This gives them editing rights for their session details.
You can also use the six-dot handle next to each speaker to rearrange the order in which speakers are displayed.
  7. When finished, click Save to apply your changes.

Notes

  • You are not limited in the number of speakers or roles you can assign to a session.
  • Reordering speakers can help highlight the primary presenter or ensure that names appear in the correct sequence for your event program.
